The Girls Come Home Today

We spoke with the girls last night and they are excited about coming home. They should be home late in the evening. I'm going to drive down to Chattanooga to pick them up. We are excited about them being home as well but we're also fearful of their reaction to Patty's physical and emotional condition.

She is sleeping but not what I would call restful sleep. With drains on both of her sides she has to lay on her back and she has never slept like that before now. As far as our spirits, it seems like the last couple of days have not been as good as the days leading up to the surgery and immediately after. This is the hardest situation I've ever had to face. At times it is overwhelming.

Please pray for our spiritual strength, parenting, and hope.

I'm Crystal Duggers mother. She ask some of us at Adrian Burnett Elementary School to pray for you. We have experienced the joy of seeing first hand that miracles do happen. We have a little girl returning to school next week that had a battle with cancer. We were told she wouldn't be back for a couple years but God proved them wrong.
We have a little boy thats now in second grade that wasn't given much hope when he was 9 months old but is now a healthy 2nd grader and cancer free. We have seen miracle and expect to see one in your family. Our hearts go out to you and the children. We will pray for strength, rest, and for a peaceful spirit to help you through the coming weeks. I also pray you will have little pain during your treatments.
Love and prayers,
Ellen Dean

Hi Patty!

I want you to know that Matthew & I are praying for your healing everyday. I am thankful that God is able to bless us with His Grace & Mercy! I know that you will be giving your testimony one day to women going through breast cancer. I love you very much, you've been like a sister. I want you to know that if you need me, please don't hesitate to call! Just let me know when you feel like you're ready for a Yahtzee night! Take care and I will call you later tonight.

Love,
Robbie Hurst

Hey guys-
I was just checking in again (like I do several times a day) so sorry things are a little gloomy. I so hope things go better than you are expecting with the girls. I came across this Prayer and wanted to share it with you. It is St. Theresa's Prayer. May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you...May you be content knowing you are a child of God...Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.
This is my prayer for your family...let His presence settle into your bones..remember HE is with you always..even on bad days.

Love to all-
Jill
